Every tab and sub-tab, refiled onto five rails
Read from the shipped sidebar catalogue and the tab shells. Nothing is deleted — the three-level tree becomes one rail plus one visible list, and the command palette reaches any screen by name. Every screen below is now drawn, in both themes, plus the states each of them needs: empty, loading, selected, failed and phone. The list column can be dragged between 148 and 320px, or folded to the rail and hovered to peek. Rail letters are the g-prefix jump keys.

Four screens folded back into the work
Pricing → Listings · Prices selling price per marketplace is a listing fact; it belongs beside the listing, not one rail away
Stock by location → Restock · Where the stock is the reorder decision and the question “where is it” are asked in the same breath
Returns → Orders · Returns a return is an order running backwards, and it belongs on the same rail as the order
Cash calendar → Payments · Calendar money out and money in on two screens is how a low week gets missed
The test each of them failed: is this a different JOB, or the same rows with different columns? A different job earns a screen. Different columns earn a tab — and a tab keeps the filter, the selection and the scroll position you already had.
Where the depth went Today the sidebar is section → subsection → item, with two tab rows on top of that. Console keeps two levels only: a rail, and one visible list. Anything deeper is a sub-tab on the page itself.
Saved views replace menu items “Reorder now”, “Spend, no sales”, “Past due” are filters worth naming. They sit in the same list as the screens because that is how the work is actually described.
The honest cost Someone who does not know a screen’s name has to open the palette and search. Worth pairing with a one-page cheat sheet for new employees, or a first-run tour of the five rails.
